TechShop Durham will be closed on Thursday Dec 24th and Friday Dec 25th for the Christmas Holiday, as well as Thursday Dec 31st and Friday Jan 1st for the New Year's Holiday.

It's official: TechShop has been awarded a 10'x20' booth at the NC State Fair, coming up in October! This might sound like it's a long ways away, but with so much preparation necessary, we will need to start soon to get it all done. Plans are underway for an exciting, interactive booth.

The Fair will be open from October 15th to the 25th and we will need to staff the booth daily from 9 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. This means we will be asking for a lot of volunteer help from members. We'll schedule specific volunteer shifts as the fair draws closer, but please consider setting aside some time during those ten days to help us out.

WRAL News is stopping by TechShop tomorrow--Wednesday, July 15--at 2:30 p.m. We'd love to see people come out and work on some of their projects or bring in some finished projects. No pressure to "be on TV." Just bring your projects and help create a fun, active community atmosphere. This is your chance to show the world (at least the Triangle) how cool TechShop is and share what we already know: this is the place to be!

The staff will all be here and look forward to seeing you!

Don't forget! Our second monthly member meet-up is this Saturday, July 11th, from 11AM to 1PM. It's a potluck so bring something to eat or snack on.

If you have built something at TechShop, bring it in and show everyone else what's possible at TechShop. Even if you brought it before, we would like to have you
bring it again. We want to photograph everything and put pictures on Flickr.
