Where can i buy a sheet of colored acrylic?

I'd like to buy a sheet of colored acrylic for cutting on the Laser cutter. Probably 1/4 inch thick and a few feet square. Where do people recommend?

Piedmont plastics in

Piedmont plastics in Morrisvile/RTP is probably your best bet if you want to go 'shop' for it local, if not there is plenty out there on the interwebs...

In my experience most

In my experience most plastics suppliers have a bin of "drops", scrap pieces cut from larger sheets that were cut to order. They typically sell these smaller pieces by the pound.
colored acrylic is somewhat hard to find except in basic colors such as opaque black, white, transparent smoke in several shades and transparent orange are the typical stocked colors.
You might also try the larger sign companies to see if they may have scraps of what you want if you are looking for translucent colors. Raleigh and Cary's highly restrictive sign ordinances requires signage to be of a specific color.
Finally you might haunt the Scrap Exchange, they often get plastic scrap.

Delvie's Plastic

I'm not sure that Piedmont sells colored acrylic, but I could be wrong.

I've purchased my flourescent green 0.12" from Delvie's Plastics. Very good place to deal with. I ordered it in 2'x4' sheets and cut it down to 16"x24" on my table saw.
