Question re: guest helping with woodworking job

Just wanted to clarify what I read in the membership agreement and asked at the front desk.... (was led to believe something contrary during SBU)...

I need someone to assist with receiving lumber I feed through the bandsaw. The person just needs to take it from one side as I'm feeding it from the other. If I bring a relative in to help, I need to get a day pass ($30), so he can help prevent me from getting a hernia and/or bleeding all over the equipment and walls. ;)

Yes, but....

I have seen many members helping other members with just such tasks. For me, it is one of the cool things about the community you are building here.

Yes, our rules state that the helper must be a TechShop member, if only with a day pass, but I hate to have anyone think we are charging $30 just so you can have someone hold your wood.

Thanks. I was thinking of asking around for some help, but I've been trying to get my brother to come out for a tour for some time.... thought I'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone. One tour plus 2 hours of wood holding. $30. Chance to see a lot of people building things. Priceless? ;)
