Materials fee for certificate classes?

When I bought these certs, there was no mention of materials fees.

When I read them, no mention.

When I used the first four, no mention.

The last one I used, I was informed I owed $5 (plus sales tax) for "materials fees".

Is this a mistake, or am I missing something?

Sincerely,

Nickel & Dimed (a.k.a. Crotchety)

No problem

We always have charged the materials fees when applicable for all the sale classes we have ever sold. I guess we forgot to mention them this time. For this I apologize.

If anyone feels ripped off or Nickel and Dimed then by all means let us know and we will waive the materials fee. It is not our intent to have anyone feel this way and others have mentioned it this time around, so really, just let the front desk know and we will make the adjustment. We don't want no Crotchety members. (:^)

We sold $30 and $45 classes for $19.95. That is 1/3 off and 56% off of the usual prices. We figure 1/3 to well over half off was a pretty great deal even with the materials fees. (Usually materials fees result in your taking something home, so paying for the materials wouldn't be a problem) But I also understand the discomfort of a "surprise" charge and how it makes us all feel. This has never been our intent and I would rather remove it than have it cause any problems.

Thanks,

Scott
