TechShop Durham is really empty.
The last two trailers were pulled away from the loading docks today.
Moving the fork lift was another story. I won't tell the whole story, but it involves rain, slipping wheels on 2 x 10 boards used as a smooth surface over the ramps on the flatbed trailer, a flat trailer tire, going after an air compressor with the old Dodge truck which hasn't moved for months so... charging the truck battery, pouring gas into the carburetor, almost running out of gas... so filling up the truck, and the engine quitting... so pouring more gas into the carburetor... and finally the fork lift pulling itself up the ramps with the hydraulics on the forklift about a foot at a time using the tilt function and chains hooked to the front of the trailer. Oh, and then about an hour and a half sitting at Tire King waiting for the tire to be fixed. Another big thanks to Wallace Newton for enduring this adventure.
I get to unload it tomorrow. Oh boy.
Now we can concentrate on building TechShop RDU.
I'll be there around noon or so to unload the forklift. It's probably too early for tours, but you can always come to help. We should be framing and running electrical if you care to help.
Thanks,
Scott
