Hi. I've signed up for the mailing list at least twice and I'm still not getting the announcements. I've checked my spam filter and it's not showing there either. Can someone add me manually? mplonski at nc dot rr dot com

Should be working
Your name was in the system but the check box that says, "send emails" was unchecked for some reason. It is now checked.

Me too. I had no idea about the meeting tonight until another member mentioned it in passing through email today. I checked my spam filter and found zilch.
Email problems
Not sure what we can do when the emails go out to everybody but some do not receive them. They were sent!
This has been a problem for a long time and we have tried several solutions. Now we have an "expert" working on it and I expect an announcement with a new system soon.
Believe me, we are trying. We want the info to get to you maybe even more than you do.
I'll let you know when we have it working.

Another way to communicate
It was requested that a daily announcement be posted on the website. I'll try to do that. Where should it be? I guess I'll start posting to my blog again and try to guide everyone there unless someone has a better idea.

I was about to lament the missing RSS feed, then I realized it's there. I'm just way behind on RSS feeds.
I have some plywood and some aluminum there, hopefully I'll get there tomorrow before anyone takes down the sawstop and the horizontal bandsaw. I'll bring a circular saw and hack saw just in case. :)
I used Yahoo Alerts to send
I used Yahoo Alerts to send me an SMS message when the RSS feed gets updated. That has been more reliable than the mailing list for me. You might want to try it.

Thank you for the tip. It can also mail or IM when updates happen to the feed.
