Removing screen printed coating on circuit board?

I'm trying to reverse engineer a circuit board by drawing it up but it's hard to see the copper lines on the board due to a layer of screen printing... Does anyone know what I can put on the board to remove this coating without damaging the copper lines?

I would try starting with

I would try starting with solvents. I doubt alcohol will do anything; have you tried acetone?

Removing screen printed coating

I would also recommend lacquer thinner - coating should come off without damage to copper.
I would just check to be sure that the substrate material - which is usually phenolic - is not damaged - which it should not be with most solvents.
