If you need just a day for your project, choose the TechShop Daily/Trial Access Pass (buy a TechShop 1-Month, 6-Month or Annual Membership at the TechShop front desk within 7 days of using your Daily / Trial Membership and get a $30 credit). TechShop RDU memberships must first be used at the TechShop RDU location, and are not transferrable to other TechShop locations for the first two months.

Business Memberships
The Fixed Business Membership: Assigned to an individual. You may change who can use these but typically only as you change employees. You may buy as many as wanted. The Floating Business Membership: Not assigned to any specific individual. This would be for one person in the shop at any given time. If you wanted two people to access TechShop at a time, you would buy two of these Floating Business memberships. There is no limit to how many people you can cycle through. No limit to how many you can buy like this. Business Memberships will be offered with the following conditions: Your Company purchases Fixed Business Memberships at the normal Membership rate or Floating Business Memberships at 1.6 times the normal Membership rate. Your Company assigns Employees to gain access to TechShop. Employees will be required to take all SBU classes necessary to use any tools requiring an SBU. All classes will be at the current rate. You may add as many new employee positions as you like at the rate you are currently paying. You can lock in this rate forever by simply keeping your memberships active.

We will combine any with the same name. You may also choose to buy Certificates for more than one person. Match up the name for each cart item with the person you want to receive it. Again, we will combine any with the same name. Be careful not to use the eCheck option if you want them to arrive quickly. eCheck will slow the process by several days. We will mail out your Certificate(s) the next business day after receiving your payment.

Membership Benefits:

• Unlimited Access to the TechShop facility.
• Reserve machines and equipment up to 28 days in advance with an Annual membership.*
• Reserve machines and equipment up to 14 days in advance with an 6-Month membership.*
• Reserve machines and equipment up to 7 days in advance with a monthly membership.*

Restrictions:

• Members must be at least 12 years of age.
• Members under 18 years of age must always be accompanied by an adult member.
• Our machines and equipment require that you take the TechShop SBU (Safety and Basic Usage class) for that machine or equipment. Most of these classes cost $30 per hour and take an hour or two to complete. Once you take the class, and you have an active membership, you are free to use that machine or equipment whenever it is available.
• If a piece of equipment is in use but not reserved, members may reserve it at that time, but must give the current user 30 minutes' notice.

* Some machines, such as the Epilog laser, ShopBot, and CNC plasma cutter, are fairly popular with members; reservations for project time on these machines should be made at least a few days in advance. Other machines are less likely to be tied up for extended periods of time, and when a machine is in use, you should be able to get on it within a reasonable amount of time.
